lampemm is a woodworking studio which focuses on making solid wood furniture. Our design is based on the materials themselves, their texture and the simple geometric shapes which accentuate it.

Collection 2015 is influenced by public buildings, both interiors and exteriors, from mid 20th century. The simple angular forms, quiet and monumental, are now met with traces of time and weather. We were observing the relations of materials and the different ways they show signs of ageing.

For our products, wood, as a central material, was combined with ceramics and processed or chemically corroded metal, sanded and polished to create a smooth reflective surface. The colours and textures of metal surfaces look different depending on the light and the angle they are observed from.
